Our July challenge is going well and lots of you are sharing your 'Crafty Passions' with us, but if you have not had time to join in yet, fear not because there is still a couple of weeks to go so plenty of time.
Each month the Design Team come up with their work offering lots of inspiration to us all and will be recognisable to you by name, but I thought it would be rather nice if we could get to know a little bit more about each of them, the person behind the card each month. So for the next few months I will be doing a second post mid month where I will spotlight two of the DT along with a second piece of work from them following the months theme.
But before I introduce Pinky and Tracy, I will take this opportunity to let you all know that the Sir Stampalot web site has completed it's re-vamp. The new look site is quick and easy to navigate and as previously you will find all the new products under the whats new section, the new terms class schedule and of course the Specials section which is regularly updated with new offers.
The Turning Leaves Magnolia collection arrived in store this week, along with new DooHickey dies, as well as new August craft magazines which will make perfect holiday reading material. Click on the pictures below to go direct to the product in store.

Now back to this months DT Spotlight and I would like to introduce you to Pinky and Tracy. I have been lucky enough to know both for some years, in fact since my early days in blogland and whilst I could tell you little things about both, such as Pinky loves making baby cards and probably makes more wedding cards than anyone else I know and Tracy has a total love affair with House Mouse stamps and embellishing her cards with flowers, I know there is far more to each so I asked both to tell us a bit more about themselves and their crafting journey.
My favourite stamp, ribbon and colouring pens
"I live in Craigavon, Co. Armagh and have been married to my best friend for nearly 33 years and he supports my craftiness in more ways than one lol. We have 4 grown up kids, the eldest is 31 and the youngest and only girl is 19. We also have a little dog called Squirt!
I've always been crafty and come from a long line of dressmakers, bakers, embroiderers and stitchers. I started off at a very young age thanks to my Mum who taught me everything I needed to know about knitting and sewing. I moved into card making purely because I didn't like the sentiments and verses in shop bought cards. I used to make up my own poems and verses and a lot of my cards were made from recycled bits and pieces. I shudder when I look back on them.
I joined the land of bloggers about 3 years ago and am totally addicted to entering challenges and working on design teams. The bulk of my cards though are all commissions and I've been running my own little card business for about 10 years now and have a large customer base who thankfully keep coming back for more so I must be doing something right!!"
Some More Crafty Passions:- Penny Black Stamps, Shabby Chic, Handmade Flowers, Crealie Dies
"I have a lovely hubby John of 17 years and I'm Mum of three gorgeous children, Scott 16, Jodie 14 and Bobby 6. And six adorable pets too.
My crafting started when my Mum taught me to knit. While I was pregnant with my first child I had started to cross stitch, then bought a magazine with a little free knitting kit on the front and that was it I was hooked and then taught my sister to do it as well. After many years of knitting and cross stitching it became painful on my wrists so I started to buy scrapbooking bits and bobs after seeing another magazine with the intention one day to scrap.
Then about four years ago I found blogger through a forum, I used the first blog I went on as a lead to many others, then saw the challenge blogs. My daughter asked me to make her a card, so I had a go using my scrapbooking stash and that was it, I've never looked back.............
I just love rubber stamping so much, and I love blogging because everytime I log on I'm inspired by so many talented crafters. I am part of four lovely design teams, Sir Stampalot, Penny Black @ Allsorts, House Mouse & Friends and Oldie But A Goodie. I feel very proud to be part of them and with so many very talented ladies and have made some really wonderful friends too".
I hope you have enjoyed learning a bit more about Pinky and Tracy, I know I have and would like to thank them both for being supportive and enthusiastic members of Stampalot Design Team.
