Pinky's 'go to' stamp

Good morning to you all, hope your Christmas plans are coming together, it's rather scary that it seems so long coming and now it's only day's away.

This months it's Pink's turn to share her 'go to' stamps and no surprise to us that it is a wedding image, she does that theme so well, so over to her......................

"My 'go to' stamp was going to have to be either baby or wedding related as I seem to make a lot of those cards. So I decided to go with wedding. I love this stamp from Stamping Bella called Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda.

I love the happy feel it has, I love the frills on her dress, and bonus it is very easy and quick to colour up and cut out!!

Thank you so much Pinky.

Sally's go to stamp

Good morning, it's time for our mid month inspirational post where the DT are offered a challenge, this time it's Sally who starts off our new DT's theme of  'My go to stamp', I am really looking forward to seeing what each of the team come up with in the next few months.

So I will hand you over to Sally....................

My Go to stamp had to feature a tree, but which one?! After much thought I went for this one by Inkylicious.

I have used it for Birthdays, Christmas, Father's day and sympathy cards. It is such a versatile stamp.

Thanks Sally, it's one of my favourites as well.

Marlies in the spotlight

Good morning everyone, it's time for our mid month post and this month it's my pleasure to introduce our newest member of the Design Team Marlies who has made a lovely card following this months Autumnal theme. There is a fabulous prize to be won from Penny Black so make sure you join in if you have not already done so.

It's my turn for the midmonth and we are sharing either a new technique or using one we often use.

Something that I wanted to try was colouring up a stamp with the 'No black lines' technique. I must admit it more difficult than I thought it would be and it took lots of attempts to get something done that I could be reasonably happy with.

I stamped the image with Antique Linen Distress ink. To make it easier to see were the stamped image was I shaded around it with stormy sky. Then I outlined all the parts in the colour I wanted them to be and then shaded the colours. This is coloured with distress ink (refills)

I hope that I have inspired you to try this technique too.

Thank you Marlies, it's a technique I have heard people mention but never really knew quite how it worked so your post has been very educational.
