Good morning Peeps, just popping in with a reminder that our current challenge is in full swing and some super entries, if you have not had time to enter yet then there is still plenty of time, the theme is Anything Goes and runs until 30th August. And there are three super vouchers to be won from this months sponsor Swedish House Crafts.
We are moving onto a new theme for the Design Team's mid month posts and Sally is first up so I will hand you over to her.
"Hi there! It's time for a new mid-month theme for our inspiration posts, and we are looking at 'something new I've tried recently'.
I decided to go with Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders. The pixie powders are like brushos in that they are in powder form, but they are mostly just single colours and pearlised so they have an amazing sheen. They come in a fine tipped easily squeezable bottle like the ones stickles come in but bigger, and depending on how much you tilt it more or less comes out. You can give it a light tap or squeeze it. The colours are lovely and vibrant, but turn pastel shades with more water, rather than going muddy. They are also water soluble so can be mixed with water to make a paint. I've used them for the background, to splatter and as a paint on the first card.
Here I used them like Brushos, scattering and spraying with water
and here is a close-up so you can see the sheen"

This certainly does look like a fun product. Love the different looks that Sally achieved on both of her cards as well as the fresh colours.
