Regarding Stamping Sensations

A difficult post to write but one which is necessary due to certain Social Media comments and accusations which have been made with regard to how the challenge is run.

The aim of the challenge since March 2010 has always been to provide a forum for crafters to share their artwork along with the opportunity to win prizes provided by a wide range of generous sponsors.

The Design Team, many of whom are long standing members give their time on a voluntary basis, do not receive any form of inducement and each month provide artwork as inspiration for our entrants and take time to comment on those entries.

I and in turn my team will not be intimidated by gossip or false claims about how the challenge is run. If any crafter has an issue about how the challenge is run then they are welcome to send me a personal e.mail from the link on the challenge blog sidebar. Social Media and closed formats are not the appropriate place and I on behalf of the challenge, my team and sponsors will report to the appropriate body, taking into account GDPR regulations, any such dialogue of which I/we have or may become aware.

Our aim is to provide a friendly environment for crafters and to this end we will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour or comments and regularly review those and our rules to ensure all remain in the best interest of our entrants as a whole.

  1. WOW I cannot believe you have had to write this post Brenda, there are plenty of us crafters who appreciate the time and effort it takes to provide us with these challenges and as you say voluntary too not as if you are paid for your time.I can honestly say I haven't seen any comments or gossip myself and when I first saw your post I thought you was closing the challenge.I hope you still continue as there are plenty of us who support all you do and hope the tiny nasty/spiteful minority don't win!!!

  2. Wowzers! I don’t understand people. One gets upset, for whatever reason and decide to be bullies which is totally uncalled for. I’m glad you are rising above this and will just move forward.

  4. So sorry you even had to address this. The unmitigated gall of people hiding behind their screens to be nasty on social media. They clearly lacked a good paddling as a child. If a person doesn't like the way a challenge is run...don't play along. Its not as if one is forced to play. I enjoy the month long challenges as it gives me more time to put something together. I absolutely appreciate the time and efforts it takes to run a challenge, having been on a design team for an unsponsored challenge. The time commitment to make projects and visit entries and comment is significant and I thank you all for your efforts.

  5. I am amazed that someone has had the audacity to criticise how any of your challenges are run Brenda. Regular contributors and those on Design teams know how much work and time goes into running a challenge and it is really appreciated. Thank you and your teams for running such great challenges.

  7. I do feel sorry for the person who is spreading such negativity. She must be in pain and using our lovely challenge to vent her own frustrations at her life. It is not right what she is doing and I do hope she will see that all this darkness will not help her in any way. God Bless and protect Brenda and the rest of the team. Anesha x

  10. Well worded again, I know the time and effort put into challenges as a design team member of many designers and all for the love and appreciation and ability for others to join in, win, or just have fun and expose their beauty of crafting. xxx

  13. Okay, I'm going through my reading list and can't believe this challenge is also involved in mean spirited gossip. Keep your chin up, Brenda. [Bunny]

  14. I didn't hear (read) any of these from my limited social media interactions, and glad I am spared this unnecessary poison. In real life most people would keep their conspiracy theories and snide comments to themselves, or their friends and family would stop them from ridiculing themselves. But, online there is no filter... It's sad really, they are deluded individuals.
Be assured that the silent majority is on your side and has no problems with how the challenge is run. If they did they would desert it and I think both the longevity and the popularity of the challenge demonstrate quite the opposite. Borrowing from a famous book (I hope this isn't sacrilegious) "forgive them, they know not what they do". Allow me another saying... Keep calm and carry on! x

  16. Oh gosh Brenda and team, I haven't seen any of this but I am so saddened to hear about it. Sadly some people are keyboard warriors and very spiteful. I can never understand how mean some fellow crafters can be. Take care, hugs xxx
