April challenge

Welcome to our April challenge, this month our theme is Anything Goes but we also have a 🐥Spring🌹Mood Board to inspire which is what the Design Team have all followed.

With the beautiful signs of Spring all around us we hope you will be inspired by our mood board, all we ask is that there is at least one stamped element on the front of your entry, remember you can enter up to three times.

Before we move on, we would like to extend a thank thank you to Gerrina who has recently left the team, she is juggling a busy life and we wish her well. But on a happy note Anesha is back with us, she's had a year or so away and we are so pleased to see her return.

This year we are featuring Design Team members during their Birthday month with mood boards to reflect the birthstones and flowers. As we have several DT Birthdays falling in June, I (Brenda) selected April as an alternative as it's my favourite season.

We are happy to welcome back Crafty Individuals with a super £25 voucher for one lucky winner to spend in their store. And there may even be a second prize at the end of the month!

A bit about this months featured DT Brenda:

"I've always enjoyed crafting in one form or another since childhood. As the craft industry expanded I discovered stamping, this remains my firm favourite with a bias towards a bit of inky grunge usually featuring Flowers, Nature or Fairies, very rarely anything cute which is way outside my comfort zone. Working with dies is another aspect of crafting I enjoy as they add so much diversity to projects.

For many years I demonstrated at craft shows and ran classes meeting like minded crafters and sharing our joint passion of creating and some of those I met around the Country remain close friends. Health prevents me doing this anymore but I am fortunate to be able to carry on crafting and design for some wonderful companies and TV with many types of crafting products as they enter the market.

Being on several design teams and also running three challenges for the last fifteen years has allowed me to work alongside many talented crafters and enables me to visit blogs around the World to be constantly inspired by the diversity of styles. I always believe crafting is an ongoing learning curve and we are never expert in any one style or technique".

Here's the inspiration from the Design Team....

Loved reading about Brenda's interesting crafty history, her skills are amazing and always inspire me so much! I agree with her about the dies, and also about the ongoing learning curve of crafting and the continue inspirations that make us always more inside the infinite creative possibilities.

Amazing works from all the DT ladies, wow! I'm glad to see Anesha back in the team!
Happy Sunday to everyone

Yes, it's always interesting to hear about people's crafting history and what makes them so passionate about it. It's true that crafting is never a dead end street - there's always a new technique to learn, a new product to drool over, old products to give a fresh new look to... Thank you to all of you for your hard work on this challenge. One of the most fun parts of crafting is the sharing community! Vicky x
